These cuddly teddy bears were handmade in Otavalo, Ecuador of 100% genuine baby alpaca fiber. Alpaca fiber is lighter in weight and warmer than sheep wool. It is very soft with a silky texture, not prickly like sheep wool. The fiber of baby alpacas tends to be softer than that of adult alpacas. It does not include lanolin, making it nearly hypoallergenic. Alpacas are not harmed in the process of obtaining the fiber.
